Shopping and Restaurants near the AirBNB
Restaurants closer to the AirBNB off of Interstate 40 is Oregano’s Italian and near the Flagstaff Mall is a Starbucks, Safeway Grocery store, Dunkin’ Donut and Chipotle. There’s an Outback Steakhouse further down the road and a Texas Roadhouse. For authentic Mexican food, I suggest El Tapatio. We have a couple of local restaurants featured on Food Network: Brandy’s which has great breakfast/brunch and Fat Olives Italian. I also like the Tourist Home downtown for breakfast/brunch.

You can see beautiful fall colors along several trails and hikes in the San Francisco Peaks.
The road to the Snowbowl is one of the most beautiful scenic roads to the San Francisco Peaks! It is a paved road lined with the changing colors of Fall in the trees. When you get to the ski resort, you can take a ski lift ride to see the fall colors from the sky. I highly recommend taking the drive even if you don't take the ski ride.

Walnut Canyon is a hop and a skip from our AirBNB.
It is amazing to see the black cinders and volcanic rock at the monument against the backdrop of the Peaks. The fields of wildflowers during the summer and fall are gorgeous.

It is easy to get to Grand Falls from our Air BNB. All the locals call it Chocolate Falls because it looks like a waterfall of chocolate milk! On the way to Chocolate Falls, you can stop and see Dinosaur tracks!

The Historic Cameron Trading Post has the best Navajo Fry Bread and Navajo Tacos as well as several Native American Arts and Crafts in the gift shop.

One of my favorite places in the world! Oak Creek Canyon and Sedona! Incredible hikes, swimming in the creek, walks, shopping and food. This area is world renowned for the red rocks and mesa, the creek in the Canyon and unbelievable beauty!

Downtown Flagstaff
The downtown area of Flagstaff is fun and family friendly. The restaurants we like downtown are Big Foot BBQ, Beaver Street Brewery and Pato Thai. Our favorite pizza in town is Nimarcos - there are 3 locations including one downtown and there are lots of local coffee places.
