There are great biking options and hiking close to home.
From the house, road bikers are on the path for rides out to West Marin. Start out on Olema, 1 block away, then follow it west over White Hill, and you're on your way. Out the back door is the road up to Tamarancho and the awesome 8 mile loop and flow trail live. Additionally, there are lots of other mt. bike rides through Deer Park and up onto Mt. Tamalpais. There is an abundance of hiking around all 5 lakes near Fairfax. You can access many trails at Deer Park.
