For anyone visiting abroad, American food is not burgers and fries, but actually down and dirty southern BBQ. While I'm sure you'll find better options in the south, this is my fav in NYC!

I always recommend my out of town friends to try the giant pastrami sandwiches at Katz Deli. Nowhere else in the world can you get a sandwich like this, and it is immensely satisfying.

Of all the rooftop bars in NYC, this one still has the best rooftop views in my opinion. The empire state is right in front of you in all its glory. Best to come during the weeknights.
