It has the freshest and best southern and or soul food around. It is noted for its fresh catfish plate. They open at 11 and stay open until 7 Mon thru Wend. They are closed on Thursday and Sunday. Friday and Saturday they open at 12 pm and stay upon till they run out. I haven’t eaten anything there I did not like.

This is one of the fanciest restaurants in my guidebook. This is the La Mesa location. It is off the 8 fwy going east from the house. They have an excellent happy hour. You can sit at the bar or patio and get some of the Brigantine’s best foods for 1/2 the price. The happy hour prices are $6 at the time of this writing 6/22. I especially like the house salad and the calamari.

A place to take your dog where you can take the dog off the leash and let him run and play with other dogs.
Canine Corners dog park is located within this park. It has three enclosed spaces where you can ring your dog and remove their leash . The areas are broke down by size large, medium and small. They have water there for the dogs. It was one of the only park open during Covid.
