A 15min walk through the fields to this charming pub with beer garden. To walk to the Half moon pub. Go up the road (towards the downs) and turn right at the first field. At the end of the field turn left. Walk up to the clearing and you'll see a farm road on your right. Follow that and then continue on the marked walking tracks to the pub. You will cross a field with cows, so be a little careful and then through two walkers styles, past a chicken coup and then turn left at the road and its just there on your right

The Half Moon Inn
Haywards Heath RoadA 15min walk through the fields to this charming pub with beer garden. To walk to the Half moon pub. Go up the road (towards the downs) and turn right at the first field. At the end of the field turn left. Walk up to the clearing and you'll see a farm road on your right. Follow that and then continue on the marked walking tracks to the pub. Beautiful market town with a castle. Try heading in for a coffee at Ground Coffee Lewes or a pint at The Landsdown both just near the station. Alternatively try The Trading Post Coffee and then stroll down the pedestrianised walk and visit the antique shops, Harvey's brewery or lunch at Bills. There's also some fantastic Thai restaurants, try Pailin Thai for amazing noodle soups for lunch or Erawan for more traditional setting. Favourite pubs include The Landsdown, Pelham Arms, John Harvey Tavern or Gardener's Arms

Local walks
Easy walks from Flintwell. suitable for families
Go up the road and first left is the farm track. It goes through the farm. Your allowed to go through there and then turn left past the house. Continue walking down that farm track as far as it goes and back.
You can also go through the farm and turn right and walk up towards the downs

South Downs Way
