Located a few steps from the Gesundbrunnen ring stop, this beautiful park is one of the most loved by Berliners. With its 29 hectares, it became a strategic area during the Second World War. In fact, it was here that an anti-aircraft tower (the Flakturm) and a bunker were built, still present in the park. Furthermore, walking through the wide tree-lined avenues it is possible to see a splendid rose garden (Rosengarten) in the heart of the park.

A long, narrow lake surrounded by a forest. It is located within the Volkspark Rehberge, in a little traveled and sparsely populated area of Wedding. Probably the least known body of water in the city, it nevertheless offers the possibility to rent boats and it is also possible to request fishing tickets: the lake is in fact rich in carp, hence the name (Plötze means 'carp')

Plötzensee
