Sightseeing

River street is a beautiful place to walk and take in the scenery on the river. Lots of little shops and dining are available and don’t forget to walk down and check out the newly finished Plant Riverside district by the Marriott. You can go into the Marriotts main lobby and see geodes and they have cool fossils and replica dinosaur bones on display. This is a hit with kids and adults alike!

Walk the squares. There are 22 squares all beautiful and each is different with it’s own history. Starting at City Hall on Bay Street you can walk down Bill St and experience all of the largest squares finally ending at Forsyth Park where you will see the iconic fountain. ⛲️ This is a great way to experience Savannah and while your there stop in at Collins Quarter the food is delicious and the staff are always friendly!

Captain Derek’s is a fan favorite for all of my personal guests. The dolphin tours are so much fun and such a nice way to spend some time on the water. It is located on Tybee (you turn right at the Tybee Island sign). They do a great job entertaining and I have never gone out and not seen dolphins. You can book tickets online at www.Tybeedolphinadventure.com

Food scene

The 🏴‍☠️ Pirates’ House is a restaurant and bar. It is where the original Trustee’s garden was located when Savannah was settled. The caretakers home is still part of the existing structure build around 1753. Later it was added on to and turned into a bar and boarding house for Sailors. With tunnels underneath that run to the river the legend goes that the pirates would get men drunk and when they passed out they would carry them out to the ships and when they came to they would be out to sea forced to work until they finally returned. It is also a place that has been the subject of many ghost stories.
