Local restaurant with a fun ambiance and delicious food. Great for drinks or dining. "Mas Playas is the name of our restaurant group which translates literally to "more beaches". We like to think of each endeavour as a blank canvas of exploration the same way we would image the discovery of a new beach. Offering Italian cuisine, Terroni Adelaide’s location is wrapped in the city’s history. Formerly the York County Courthouse, 57 Adelaide St. E. is an important multi-level heritage structure built in 1852. Just inside the front doors is the Enoteca, a great spot to stop in for cocktails. Beyond that is the spectacular main dining room, with a sunlit atrium and fireplaces on each end, the atrio on one side and an open kitchen on the other. The varying levels and curated nooks throughout the building offer a number of venues to host private functions too. Whether you are looking to host an intimate dinner for a small group, a large wedding or a corporate event, our four levels have something for everyone. On our main floor we have unique event spaces such as the Tinello, Salottino, Ufficio and lower-level Cantina. The second floor houses the grand Sala da Pranzo and Bar delle Carceri, named after the prison cells located in the basement from the old courthouse setting. Il Covo degli Artisti, our third floor space is truly a hidden gem. A cozy lounge space that is perfect for a night on the town or to host an array of cocktail style events. This very spot is where the famous Canadian landscape painters “The Group of Seven” ate and drank in 1909 when The Arts and Letters Club rented out the space to meet and entertain. Come summer, the secret garden patio is an exceptional space for an al fresco dining experience in the heart of the city.

Great area to go to a patio, restaurant, pub or drink. The Esplanade is an east-west street along the central waterfront of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Originally conceived as a city beautification project to clean up the city's waterfront in the 1850s, the street was taken over by the coming of the railways to Toronto in 1850. The railway eventually moved to an elevated viaduct, leaving only the eastern section of the street today. The area, east of Yonge Street, was dominated by industrial uses until the second half of the 20th century. As the harbour declined as a transfer point, the railway and industrial uses left the area. The Esplanade was redeveloped into a residential area, known as the "St. Lawrence Neighbourhood" in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
