This is my favorite place to grab breakfast. It's only a mile from the house. You can order online and pick up quickly in the restaurant. And best of all they have fantastic Texas-style breakfast tacos. Their coffee is amazing too. The dirty horchata is my fave.

Eat like a local. Baja Burrito is the best burrito in town, hands down. And that's not just me, it repeatedly wins Nashville Scene's reader poll for best burrito. Bonus: its only about two miles from the house. My favorite is the salmon burrito. Sounds odd, but I promise its delicious!

This is just the cutest and happiest coffee shop. It’s super tiny, so not a good place to work. But if you are interested in delicious coffee topped with edible glitter or confetti, this is the place for you. Also super close to the house.

Martin's is awesome, but I recommend getting away from downtown and checking out their Belmont Boulevard location. Same great food and way less crowded.

So fun to make a custom candle. Such lovely vessels and scents. Beautiful space too. Stay Golden, next door, is also a great spot for brunch or coffee.

If you want to get a little exercise and enjoy nature, check out Radnor Lake. It is a nature preserve and has a great walking trail. Also lots of shade to help you beat the heat.
