Fun beach to swim & play in the waves. The tide can either take or bring in sand, which is why it got its name— Magic Sands! It can either be a lava rock shore or completely white sandy beach!

Sightseeing

Best seen at night to witness the red glow of the current lava flow. Hike the Devastation trail (20 minutes) for the best view, or check out the drive up view at Kilauea overlook. Bring jackets/blankets because it can be cold! And don’t forget a flash light! It’s very dark but the stars are incredible!!
