There are great views of Table Rock Mountain while driving up 181 to Roho’s Cabin. From the cabin, it’s about an 18 mile drive to Table Rock. “Table Rock, called “Attocoa” by the Cherokee Indians, was their mystic altar for sacred ceremonies. Known as Burke County’s natural landmark, Table Rock towers at 3950 feet above sea level. The views overlooking the Gorge are spectacular and worth the travel to see. The Linville Gorge is called "the Grand Canyon of the East" for its magnificent plummet to the Linville River below the rim mountains.” https://www.visitnc.com/listing/FmKV/table-rock

From Roho’s Cabin, Brown Mountain Overlook is a 10 minute drive up 181. From there, you can take in the beautiful mountain view during the day and, if you’re lucky, experience the mysterious Brown Mountain Lights at night. If you are really lucky, you might even see the lights from the cabin looking toward Brown Mountain. “Mysterious lights have been appearing at Brown Mountain in the Linville Gorge area of North Carolina for hundreds of years. According to Cherokee legend, around 1200 A.D. a great battle was fought between the Cherokee and Catawba Indians at Brown Mountain and the mysterious lights are from the Indian maidens still searching for their men who died in battle. … The lights have been reported as being white, red, yellow, orange and blue. They've been described looking like large balls of fire to small candle lights and from floating near the ground to rising up high into the sky.” https://www.carolinacountry.com/departments/departments/feature-story/the-mysterious-brown-mountain-lights

Linville Falls, one of the most impressive waterfalls along the Blue Ridge Parkway, is 17 miles from Roho’s Cabin. There are easy and more strenuous trails that access various views of the falls. “The Linville River flows from its headwaters high on the steep slopes of Grandfather Mountain and cascades through two falls as it begins a nearly 2,000 foot descent through this rugged and spectacularly beautiful gorge. Known by the Cherokee as "the river of many cliffs," Linville Gorge was the nation's first officially designated wilderness area. Towering hemlocks, dense stands of rhododendron, and native wildflowers grow along the trails that begin at the visitor center and encircle the falls.” https://www.nps.gov/blri/planyourvisit/linville-falls-mp-316.htm
