See map on Park Lane sightseeing entry. Start by walking north on 7th. Turn west on 5th Ave. Turn north on 6th St. Cross at lighted crosswalk at Kirkland Connector. Walk north on 6th to 5th Place S. Turn left on 5th. Take stairway on right down to 3rd Ave S. Continue west on 3rd until you reach 2nd St. S. Turn right and walk to the stairway at the end of the street. Take the stairs down to the alley which connects to Kirkland Ave. Turn west to Lake Street. Enjoy wandering through the restaurants on Lake Street or strolling through Marina Park.

Less than a mile. See map on Marsh Park sightseeing entry. Start walking south on 7th. Turn right on 9th Ave S. Cross 6th St S and turn right. Turn left on gravel path on south side of Google parking lot. Turn left on Kirkland Connector. Just past the child’s play area, turn right on the gravel path to Lakeview Elementary. Take the stairs down to the lower parking area and follow the lane to the rear entrance on State St. Turn left on State, then right on 10th Ave S. Follow 10th all the way to Lake Street. Turn left to reach Marsh Park.

The Metro Bus stop is two blocks away on 6th Street, in front of Google. You can find route details here: https://kingcounty.gov/depts/transportation/metro/schedules-maps.aspx Route 255 goes from Juanita in the north to Seattle's University District, where you can transfer to light rail to downtown. Or transfer at Evergreen Point to bus lines headed downtown. Route 245 goes from downtown Kirkland to Overlake, Crossroads, Bellevue College, Eastgate, Factoria.
