Sightseeing

Župa beach is 300m from the apartment. The beach is small and covered in coarse pebble. There are no sunbeds or sunshades for rent, but the nearby park offers nice shadow. It’s a lovely local spot and walking distance from our apartment. The bar don’t serve food, however they serve beverages from 8am till 12am daily.

Old Town of Kotor

The old town – that is the most famous part of Kotor, where the Kotor history, culture, and tradition are being preserved. The old town of Kotor has a great number of monuments of the medieval architecture: churches, cathedrals, palaces, and museums. Its beauty is complemented with the multitude of narrow streets, squares, and markets. The old town of Kotor stands out also by the great number of stylishly made gates, palaces of the wealthy families, and a great number of stairs. The old nucleus of Kotor today is considered to be the best preserved medieval urban entity in the Mediterranean.

Ostrog Monastery

Ostrog Monastery is one of the most revered religious sites in all of the former Yugoslav states. It’s visited by up to a million tourists and pilgrims every year. It’s built right into a sheer cliff face way above the plains below. You can see the white of the building shining like a beacon against the dark rock from miles away. Although Ostrog Monastery is a tourist attraction, it’s very much a place of worship and has a sombre air.

Maritime Heritage Museum

Porto Montenegro museum of naval heritage is the haven where the former arsenal's legacy and naval history are proudly displayed. The Museum is located at the end of Porto Montenegro, the Marina area. You cannot miss it - there are two large submarines at the front!
