One of the National Parks throughout the country, this would be about a fifteen minute car ride. You can stay on the public side or even get a day pass for the drive on zone! You can see the famous Assteague Island Horses and all sorts of indiginous plant and animal life. Surf fishing is also allowed at certain times and there is a touch tank at the Visitors Center. Check their website for the most up to date information!

That sun is hot, and we all want a tan, but be careful, especially on overcast, cloudy days. Burns can still happen!
Depending on the wind, the beach can have bugs that you will want to spray so you don't get bitten, especially in the evening!

We do not provide shampoo and soap, etc. Bring whatever you need.
Never a bad idea to bring your own paper products, coffee filters, etc for easy cleanup, dumpster is on site.

Parking can be a premium
Once parked, it is best to keep your car parked as much as possible. There are plenty of ways to get around responsibly and so many fun places within walking distance or even if you rent a bike.
