This place has my favorite Thai food in town. Reasonably priced. Food is delicious and it is only a 2 block walk away from the house.

This is a wonderful classic restaurant, located in a wonderful old building, very cozy inside. Amazing old giant fireplace. Great bar. They are noted for their amazing onion rings! They specialize in steaks and baked potatoes. However, vegetarians will love their wonderful vegetarian plate that is not on the menu. I LOVE it! A 5 minute walk from the house.

Elephants is noted for it's wonderful & wide variety of delicious take out food, including soups & salads. It's also a great place to buy deli sandwiches, milkshakes and desserts. You can also eat in. If the booths in the front are taken you can go to their nice back room or outside to eat.

Sandwiches and salads, quick! I love their salads but I haven't tried their sandwiches. I bet they are good. Give me a review if you try this place please.

This is one of Portland's most beautiful parks. It's about a 10 minute walk up the hill from the house. It's just so green and full of huge trees and plants, wonderful statues, the Holocaust Memorial, a huge rose garden. It is adjacent to the Japanese Garden.
