Sweet Potatoes hooked me a long time ago. Their cheese biscuits come with every meal and they are soft and fluffy like my moms. They have wonderful vegetable choices and just good eats. My favorite is the hand-pulled turkey salad. Their bread pudding is an experience alone. You will enjoy.

Lulu's is in the historic district on MLK. This has been one of my happy places for a good while. All things chocolate. Drinks, desserts, fruits dipped in chocolate as well as cakes. Its a great "after" spot.

In Thunderbolt about 3 minutes from the house is curry magic. This is guilt free eating because its so healthy but also its so tasty and beautifully presented. If you like Thai, you will enjoy this place. Dining in is nice because of the friendly neighborhood atmosphere but take out is fine. They don't deliver but there is always instacart etc.

I recommmend The Creek House to everyone because I love their desserts. The food is great, they have seafood offerings but living here, I eat seafood all the time, desserts get me and theirs are great. The ooie-gooie cake is my favorite but boy do you have choices here. The restaurant is located on the intercoastal waterway and they have outdoor dining and a play area for the kids. It is family friendly and large. Its the kind of place to relax with family or chill over coffee with a friend.

Its the kind of place to relax with family or chill over coffee with a friend.
The Foxy has been open for a while before i was turned onto it by a friend but it has become a local spot for me. They have a backyard which was awesome for friendliness and atmosphere, especially during the pandemic. They had a fireplace going and you could grab a, stick and roast marsh mellows while you sipped coffee and talked. My go-to menu item is the Mexican Mocha coffee but they have many coffee and food choices to satisfy even the pickiest eater. Its one of my favs and on this list for the ambience as well as the menu.

1919 Bull StThe Foxy has been open for a while before i was turned onto it by a friend but it has become a local spot for me. They have a backyard which was awesome for friendliness and atmosphere, especially during the pandemic.
