Åpent Bakeri is a café and bakery by day, and serves great pizzas after 4 pm, in a quiet residential area. Try the reindeer and pomegranate pizza! (Open every day but the pizza restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesdays).

Reservations recommended for weekend brunch and dinner. Tøyen’s best outdoor seating, next to the fountain at Sørli plass. Service may be a bit slow, sometimes, but the waiters are always smiling.

There is an intense burger war going on in Oslo. After reigning for several years, the excellent Illegal Burger has now gotten a successor on the throne in the simple and great burger joint Munchies. A small menu of 100 NOK burgers is really all you need, and everything is home-made and carefully grilled to perfection.

Bar Boca is one of the smallest bars in town, but their cocktail list is nothing short of impressive. The beautiful fifties decor gives the place a great atmosphere and the bar attracts an interesting mix of people.
