The Taos Valley Overlook Trails (close to Lower Taos Canyon) consist of several single track loops, and some two track trails totaling about 16 miles of beginner to intermediate level of difficulty. Locals use the place for mountain biking, running, hiking and horseback riding. Offers stunning views of the Rio Grande Gorge below. Perfect for a nice morning or evening walk for those who want to enjoy amazing Southwest landscapes without a strenuous workout. Our favorite place to hike around Taos. Travel south of Taos on state road 68 (going to Santa Fe) and keep driving for approximately 1.7 miles after you pass the sign for Stakeout Dr on your left.
