Less than 10 minutes away, Griffon serves delicious pub food and has a vast array of eclectic beer choices. Expect to leave stuffed! The only negative in my opinion, is that their acoustics are pretty bad. A tin ceiling makes in a loud restaurant. But as long as Uncle Louie turns up his hearing aide, you should be fine :)

No matter where in Western New York you travel, locals will encourage you to skip the national coffee chains and enjoy the cozy atmosphere and fantastic coffee options at SPoT Coffee (several locations in the Buffalo area). This is a great spot (yes...okay...pun intended) to curl up with a book near the fireplace or study or get a bit of work done. Hungry? "The Mike" sandwich is pure breakfast heaven on a house-made bagel, and their omelettes are gigantic and delicious!

Looking for a short walk in a gorgeous park? Look no further than Glen Falls. It's less than 10 mins away and it's always beautiful. It's right in the center of the village of Williamsville. Highly recommend!

But the ability to get up close and feel the power of the water flowing past is, in my opinion, the gem of the US side. We highly recommend heading to Goat Island, parking, and taking a walk to the falls. Don't miss three sisters island either. It's right on the way to the falls.

I'm not even a donut person...but I love Paula's donuts. If you're looking for light and airy pastry...try elsewhere. These are solid, heavy donuts in the best of ways. We recommend getting their box of assorted donut holes with all the flavors. Great way to try a bit of everything without a sugar overload.
