Sightseeing
Moffat is a lovely little town with independent shops, cafes, a small co-op, butcher, bakery and green grocer. Also worth a visit is the furniture and interiors shop, Manse Interiors.
There are many nice walks from Moffat including The Devil's Beeftub, Merlin's Cave and The Grey Mare's Tail. Moffat Park has a boating lake and mini-golf.

Hotels with good food. The Annandale, Black Bull and The Buccleuch
Take away fish and chips – the best is down side street next to Bank of Scotland - the Moffat Chippy, (on left of main street) Also Chinese and Indian.

Fun hike up a stunning waterfall. The drive there from Moffat is also very pretty. Full hike will take several hours but you can see the waterfall from the bottom!
