There are big draws for employment opportunities through company's such as Intel, Nike and Tektronix. But the big draw for visitors and locals are the over 100 local scenic parks, numerous local wineries, and the nearby recreation opportunities of the Oregon Coast and Mt. Hood.

Great place to take a nice long walk and see some amazing moss covered trees and ferns. Hike to a pond, take a picture at the bended tree and learn about all the amazing plant life in the nature park.

This nature park is less than 2 miles from the cabin and a 5 min drive. It has a great little playground up front and then 3.5 miles of hiking trails that loop the park. Amazing views of the Tualatin River valley-great place to hike at sunset or sunrise. Pets are not allowed on the trails.

Amazing views of the Tualatin River valley-great place to hike at sunset or sunrise. Pets are not allowed on the trails.
Iconic Oregon site seeing. We have done the shorter hike up to the bridge to the falls and we have also done a longer hike that went up around the back side of the falls and ends at the bridge. It was misty and cool when we went (In February) but it was still so enjoyable and beautiful. So fun to see the numerous waterfalls behind the iconic one that you can only see if you do the hike. Great way to spend half the day.

They have a downtown Portland store that has been there for 50 years, but we prefer to pop into this one since it's so close and has an amazing selection of local souvenirs, great book selection and knowledgable staff.

If you take a trip to George Rogers Park be sure to swing by Downtown Lake Oswego. Great shops to stroll and fun restaurants to try. Make a special dessert stop at Salt & Straw, its kinda famous, and very delicious.
