Ski Beech Mountain! Ski Beech is not just a resort for snow skiing; snowboarders welcome! There is a host of fun winter activities here. Ski Beech has the only high speed quad lift in NC operating at record speeds. Take in the beautiful panoramas as you make the climb up. Ski season opens December 11 and lasts through March 27. You can also make your way to Beech Mountain Terrain Parks where there are multiple spots to practice tricks and play. The area features areas for advanced boarders and trick skiers as well as beginners and gradual jumps.

Its exhilarating and open year-round. More winter fun is at Hawksnest Resort, with the larges snowtubing park on the east coast with nearly 30 lanes for tubing. Hawksnest also offers winter zipline tours that sour above the tubing lanes.
