A short 6-min walk from home, this park is my daily go-to park and it has everything! Walking paths, green grass to sit on and relax, dog play area, tennis court, children's playground and a nice view of the Painted Ladies. Remember to take your jacket with you as the park is on hill and it can get pretty windy up there.

Ah, finally a flat park that is perfect for riding bikes, taking an easy walk, running or even roller blading This iconic park is full of so many different kinds of trees that it continues to amaze me! There's also a very well-equipped outdoor gym in you need to keep your workout rhythm going.

This is THE park of the city and offers a stunning evidence of bay area beauty. You can choose to simply walk/bike around casually or go on one of the hiking trails. What I like about this place is how it makes you forget that you're in big city. It's quiet, expansive, and peaceful.

Jacket and Shoes
No matter what the weather forecast says, always dress in layers and keep a jacket on you. You may also keep ear muffs or scarves because some places can be very windy. The coastline on the west side is particularly foggy (search online for Karl the Fog) but it gets sunnier and a bit warmer as you head east/inland. Bring a pair or comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots to experience this city of rolling hills.
