Welcome to “Casa De Ana” Having lived here in Alhaurin el Grande for 5 years we would strongly recommend that you visit this tranquil & historic town to use as a central location to visit the city of Malaga or all of the coastal areas of the beautiful beaches of the Costa Del Sol, both options are just 25 minutes drive. Alternatively Alhaurin El Grande is an ideal location to simply relax as a peaceful retreat. The centre boasts many traditional Spanish bars, tapas & restaurants serving many recommended local culinary dishes. Surrounding the town there are also many historic spots & stunning scenery that can be seen either by walking , car or cycling. For the keen golfer there are many stunning golf courses within a ten minute drive.

We found the menu a little limited but the food & service is absolutely excellent ! Many locals eat here & dressing more formal is advised. The owner Pedro has been here for over 30 years & is well established & respected about the local community for excellent food. This is an absolute must to visit & you must book in advance during peak times. Make sure you look at his authentic tapestry pictures which are presented throughout the restaurant! To be honest we have to say within the local towns this has become our number one restaurant because not only the food is first class but Pedro makes your visit more relaxing & welcome in true Spanish traditional style !

In Malaga city you have a choice between the old historic side of the city with its amazing cathedral or to enjoy some retail therapy at some big high street names & boutiques. There’s also a lovely port in Malaga city with a vast array of bars , restaurants & live music during the peak periods of the year.

The beaches are a mixture of man-made, golden sand and shingle, all are generally well maintained and clean.

Walking from Casa De Ana is just as easy as driving to town
Walking from Casa De Ana into the centre of Alhaurin El Grande is approximately 15 minutes avoiding the main road. Driving is 6 minutes with many free parking. Buses run every 20 minutes & the bus stop is 2 minutes walk. Uber taxis are available too & also Yolanda & I can drive you anywhere anytime throughout your stay. Cycle & car hire places can be recommended

There are 2 local markets. Every Thursday from 9am until 1pm is a new clothing & fruit market in the centre of Alhaurin El Grande & every Sunday from 8am until 2pm is a massive second hand market in Coin which is 10 minutes drive.
