New to Felixstowe here is an imaginative use of old shipping containers. There's Dirty Hanks (vegan), the Waffle Shack, Four Three Pizza but my fave is the Smoke House at the top.
Uninterrupted views out to sea, all of the smoking is done on site. Great fresh, local produce.

Simply the BEST Indian restaurant in Felixstowe. We love that Johnny is back...it wasn't the same without him. There's an Asian Fusion selection too, for anyone looking for something a little different.

This teeny, tiny cafe has wonderful home-made produce. If you have push bikes great, it's about 5 miles away, and if not it's around 6 minutes in the car. They have been doing hampers during lock-down so if you're after a picnic I am sure they would be happy to oblige.

A tiny hamlet where you can buy fresh fish (caught daily), catch the ferry to Bawdsey, go crabbing and choose from a couple of cafes to breakfast or lunch in (don’t be deceived by appearances, that’s all I’m saying!). There’s a small art gallery there too.
A nice walk from the house, turn left at the bottom of the driveway, walk to the beach at the end of the road, turn left on the prom and then hug the coastline….this will take you to the ferry. There is a great dog-friendly pub there too – The Ferry Boat Inn (known as the FBI to the locals!) – they are happy to have dogs inside in the bar area.

Who doesn't love showing off how great they are at rowing...or not, as is often the case. This man-made lake is always good for a giggle and I've only ever seen one person fall in. The usual leisure boats are available for hire, and there are kayaks too for the more independently minded.
About a 45 minute drive from Felixstowe.

As well as the pool, and various exercise classes there's a small but well equipped gym. If you want to use the gym you'll just need to create a free guest account and can then pay as you go.

Well we are the 2nd largest container port in Europe and it's pretty impressive watching the vessels being loaded/unloaded. You might even get to see the tugs doing some exercises (man overboard, piracy controls etc) while you are down there.
The obligatory tea hut along with a cafe in case you fancy a bit to eat or a coffee/ice-cream.
