Full disclosure: bagels are not my first choice for breakfast-too many carbs in my tummy for breakfast makes me want to go back to bed. BUT…on the occasion that I do crave the carbs I find these bagels DELICIOUS! I know lovers of bagels have various arguments about what makes a perfect bagel, and I’m certain some would say nothing tops New York bagels, but I like light and chewy and flavorful bagels! Fantastic coffee options include cold brew and nitro coffee on tap. Cozy seating inside, a few tables outside during the warmer weather and drive thru for grab and go.

This bakery is just a pleasant 15 minute walk from the apartment. Delicious, fresh baked goods along with plenty of coffee and tea options. Fantastic, shaded, small patio area to enjoy a snack.

Literally located around the corner from our home, it’s the perfect stop for food that’s quick, healthy and wholesome.
The food here is fresh and super tasty! Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The cafe itself has a clean, minimalist, Scandinavian vibe with lots of natural light and good WiFi. If you’ve never experienced poké definitely give this place a try!

Loads of beautiful Alfresco seating options during the warmer months. I have never had anything other than an excellent experience here!
Lively atmosphere with classic American bistro fare. I love this menu for it’s size; plenty of variety without being too overwhelming. A selection of various Moules and frites, steak, chicken, soups and salads are sure to please everyone in your lunch/dinner party.

Delicious and economical Cambodian/Thai food found here. I love this place for takeout, but also love to dine in. They have an extensive menu and some of the best Nime Chow in the city. Poutine tater tots, a chicken sandwich encrusted in Cool Ranch Doritos(!!!), Mac n cheese croquettes, tiki bar and tasty tiki cocktails, an All American beer list representing Route 66, cool retro bar and 2 outdoor seating spaces make this place a DO NOT MISS! This place is chill during the daytime and ramps up the fun in the early evening until closing time. It’s pretty neatO!

Great outdoor patio and interesting, super yummy snacks and finger foods are perfect because you may be reluctant to leave. *Upon arrival you will have to be buzzed in. There is an intercom/doorbell and you need to scroll through the list of businesses listed until you find Far West(it’s alphabetical so it doesn’t take long). Once you reach Far West, press the button and they’ll buzz you in! Easy peasy.
