City/town information
Montendre, 10km away (12 mins in the car) is our nearest big towns. The market, on Thursday, is one of the best in the area. During the summer season the ‘marché nocturne’ is a must visit (sadly not on 2021 due to COVID).
The town itself has several bars, restaurants and the nearest big supermarket, also has a train station with direct trains to Bordeaux and La Rochelle.
Also has a big Lac with plage, great for walks or even a quick dip on a hot day. This is right next to the "Mysterra, Parc Des Labyrinthes à Montendre" which is great for kids.

Busy market town on the edge of the Gironde estuary. Guarded by the UNESCO Heritage - Citadelle de Blaye designed by Vauban to defend Bordeaux and the Gironde.
Also has a car ferry which crosses the Gironde making it a great place to explore the world famous Medoc chateaux and vineyards.
