Pinel is a little idyllic island in the heart of the National Nature Reserve, just off the east coast of St.Martin. Access it by boat, kayak, or paddle from the Cul-de-Sac pier. The first of two beaches, a long covered stretch of sand, faces St. Martin. The water is transparent because it is very shallow, and the sand is white a fantastic snorkeling spot in a truly picture-perfect landscape. On this beach, find two restaurants just steps from the water. The the second beach is wild and rocky, located on the other side of the island, which you can reach on foot in 10 minutes. 18.106444, -63.016431

Great beaches

This beautiful fine-sand beach borders a golf course and is very popular with tourists and locals alike. When the northern swell picks up, Mullet Bay becomes an incredible surf spot. 18.045160, -63.125202

Maho Beach is famous for its location unlike any in the world, right at the end of the PJIA runway. From that vantage point, watching the jets taking off and landing is always an incredible sight to see. Be careful not to lay your towel near the runway—the jets will surely blow it away. 18.040223, -63.120906

We recommend getting a car rental to better explore!

There are no fixed schedules. All you have to do is stand next to the bus stops, which are located all over the territory, and raise your hand when a collective bus arrives. They generally accept both currencies, the Euro and the US dollar. The bus system allows you to get to the main areas of the island, both on the French and Dutch sides. But for frequent travel, it is better to rent a vehicle. We are happy to assist with car rental needs.

French outlets!

The houses and apartments on the French side use 220 volts with European plugs. Don't forget to pack your US adapters and converters.

We use both currencies $/€ everywhere!

No need to change your dollars to euros, US dollars are accepted everywhere. Some places will use fixed or current exchange rates.
