There are several boat launches found around the lake and a main public beach area that has sand, grass, picnic tables, a covered pavilion, and outhouses so you can spend the whole day at the lake!

This Provincial campground is one of our favourite local gems. We just live 15 minutes away and still we spend a whole week there camping - every single year! But the beach... the water... the hiking... the turtles... the new playground... How could you not find yourself here?

If you're a jumper, then you're going to LOVE this place, if you're a picture taker, then you're also going to LOVE this place, and if you're just looking for a good time in the mountains then this is your place too! Bucket list for sure!

Make sure to stop by the Marina for some ice cream as you fuel up your boat! With so many amazing beaches, sandy islands, and cliffs to jump you'll definitely need more than just one day! The Kootenay Trout Hatchery has the cutest little fishing pond to practice with the littles - of course its all catch and release but the photos are priceless! And you can also feed the giant trout that swim in the mote and schedule a guided tour of the amazing hatchery! I'm an elementary school teacher, and this is a yearly field trip with the kids! So fun! And don't forget to bring a picnic - there's lots of shady green grass and picnic tables.
