If you fancy cranking up the adventure Symonds Yacht has some excellent rafting opportunities and mountain bike trails. For those extreme sports nerds, go at night and experience the trails by head-torch.

Home of Henry VIII's final wife....phew she had a lucky escape and lived in rather a nice house on the other side of Cheltenham. This is a great day out, they often have re-enactments, music festivals and light shows - All saints and Sara Cox played there one! Winchcombe Village is also really pretty. Check out their website for the latest events.
Great For Ghost Tours...not too far away.. A good day out, plus a trip to Shakespeare Country, Stratford Upon Avon just round the corner.

For awesome views and a 'proper' long hilly walk, the Malvern are in view from the fields near the Cottage, this allows you to ponder over whether or not you think you'll do them. Approx 15 mins drive, attempt to get to Base Camp, the highest peak. Take a picnic and dome refreshments.
