Dragsholm Slot Bistro has a more simple and informal kitchen style. The menu consists of dishes prepared using fresh ingredients from the Lammefjord and from the castle's own herb garden.

Madkunsten is a nice little restaurant, located in the middle of the pedestrian street in Nykøbing Sj.
They produce everything in their own kitchen and most of the ingredients are purchased locally by good farmers, meat producers and fruit growers.

Klint Stone Columns is a sculpture park at Klint Beach. When the artist moved on, others - locals and tourists - took over the construction, and the beach at Klint is now filled with hundreds of stone colums in various sizes, shapes and colours.
Unfortunately, the violent storm ”Bodil” in December 2013 also leveled all the stone columns at Klint with the ground. Locals and visitors are slowly beginning to build new columns, so now you have a unique opportunity to participate in the reconstruction of a charming, amusing and beautiful tradition.

It's not the most extraordinary zoo in the world but a cosy way to spend the day, if you don't expect too much:-)
The pet zoo with goats and pony riding makes it a nice place to go for the youngest children.
NB. We recommend that you bring your own picnic basket since they only serve poor fast food in the cafeteria.

UNESCO Global Geopark Odsherred
Geopark Odsherred has been admitted as Denmark’s very first Geopark to the International and UNESCO subsidized Global Geoparks Network.
In the last Ice Age, the Lammefjord area was covered in a thick layer of ice which, as it melted, left behind large volumes of organic material. These nutrient-layers of deposited silt are what give the Lammefjord its status as Denmark’s kitchen garden.

Lumsås: The nearest place to shop for grosseries is in REMA1000 in Lumsås, Oddenvej 103 B.
Højby: SuperBrugsen in Højby is also pretty close and very well-stocked. Højby Stationsvej 8
Nykøbing: In Nykøbing you have several supermarkets and a moderate variety of shops in the pedestrian street.
Vig: In Vig there's a SuperBrugsen and a Netto with grosseries.
Holbæk: Holbæk is 30 minutes drive away and is the nearest "bigger" city with more shops than Nykøbing.
Rørvig: Rørvig is quite small but very nice with smaller shops with handicrafts and several cafes and fish restaurants.
