Restaurant with an incredible location, it feels like being enveloped in a Caribbean forest, plants and a large shovel that moves the wind makes the plants move with the sound of a waterfall in the background. Modern menu that revisits typical Dominican dishes

Calle Las Damas/ Street of the Ladies is the oldest street in the Americas. The street has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The arrival of Admiral and Viceroy Diego Columbus and his wife doña María de Toledo brought a little class to this new city. María de Toledo was the great niece of the King of Spain, King Ferdinand. Many of the high society of Spain and the ladies “of culture” took up residence on Calle de la Fortaleza. The name was changed later to Calle las Damas, named for the Ladies-in-Waiting that strolled up and down its north to south running length.

Panteon de la Patria is adjacent to Casa Pantheon, it is our favourite neighbor! National Pantheon was built from 1714-1746 by the Spaniard Geronimo Quezada y Garçon and was originally a Jesuit church. The structure was constructed in the neoclassic-renaissance style. Today, the structure stands as a national symbol of the Dominican Republic and serves as the final resting place of the Republic's most honored citizens.

The Alcázar de Colón is located in Santo Domingo's Ciudad Colonial, Dominican Republic, and forms part of the Ciudad Colonial UNESCO's World Heritage Site. It is the only known residence of a member of the Christopher Columbus's family, his first-born son Diego Columbus. The palace is an impressive construction of coralline blocks that once housed some fifty rooms and a number of gardens and courtyards. During the early Spanish colonial period, the mansion occupied a very important place in history. It was from here that many expeditions of conquest and exploration were planned. In 1586, the palace was sacked by Sir Francis Drake and his forces.

Recognized as one of the oldest churches in the Americas, Catedral Primada de las Americas is Santo Domingo’s most famous religious structure. Tucked into the old-world streets of the city’s Colonial Zone, Santa Maria was built in the early 1500s and remains an icon of the country’s Catholic community. Its classic Gothic and Baroque features are a nod to the church’s European roots and an extensive collection of woodcarvings and religious artifacts make a visit well worth the trip.
