Large park with wooded & wetland trails, saltwater beach, picnic areas and Piper's Creek watershed. Walking trail to the park accessible from our place, down a bit of a steep hill. Just ask us for info! Alternately, you can drive to the trailhead and walk from there, or drive to the park directly (about 6 minutes away by car).

Carkeek Park

Folks rave about the hot sandwiches at Valhalla. Convenient take-out for a picnic; or tables available inside to dine in (beer and cider on tap as well). Open during lunch hours (11-4pm); open later, til 7pm on Th & Fri. Hours are 11-3pm Saturdays. Closed Sundays.
