There are no motorized vehicles on the island, but that's ok because the island is super small! The best way to get around is either to walk or by bicycle. We have bicycles for rent at our place for use whilst your here. There are also numerous horse cart taxis, or cidomos as they are called here. These are useful for getting around if walking or biking isn't an option - we just ask guests not to overload the carts and choose a horse which is in good condition - most are very well looked after.

Sunset on the western side of the island is incredible! The beach is lined with lovely bars and restaurants, with swings in the water which are perfect for some Instagram shots!

Every night from around 7pm there are many stalls available to find some fresh local fish and try some of the traditional Indonesian food dishes. Grab a plate with some rice and choose your own veg and BBQ fish - there is nothing more fresh on the island.

One of the best things to do here is get under the water and up and close to all of the amazing marine life. We are very close to Trawangan Dive Centre who offer a full range of options suitable for everyone.

Although it is a small tropical island, it has a very strong muslim community and there are 2 mosques on the island. Locals are very forgiving to tourists wearing less clothes than them, however a little respect to cover up when you are on the streets not on the beach is appreciated.

There are many fast boat options to get here from Bali - a few of them are more reliable than others. Most will arrange a pick up from your hotel in the morning, and then bring you to the harbour where you will get on the boat. The crossing is around 1 hour 30 mins - 2 hours, and the price ranges from 250,000 IDR - 800,000 IDR one way depending on the level of safety and service you would like.
