Juan’s lit up on Feb.7, 1997 just before Mardi Gras in New Orleans. They just opened their Pensacola location in our neighborhood in March 2022.
Loosely based on the San Francisco Mission-style burrito joints that had been in vogue during the 80’s and early 90’s, they differentiated from a lot of the “scoop-and-serve” “tex-mex” restaurants that had popped up in New Orleans during the early and mid ‘90’s. Their food is made to order and flavors finished a la minute on the grill.
Go early, order a margarita and chill, there is typically a wait!

Beach traffic to get to Pensacola Beach can build up late morning and midday. Always best to leave a little bit early and come home a little early to beat the blazing sun!
