Sightseeing
The lighthouse is a must see if you are in the area. Drive to Wategos Beach (take the left fork as you drive up towards the lighthouse) and then it is about a 1km walk uphill to the lighthouse. If you drive all the way to the lighthouse, be prepared to pay for parking if you are lucky. The approach from Wategos is the way to get to the cape.

Less than 15 minutes drive from Tooheys Mill Farm, Killen Falls is a great place to go for a short walk and, if it is hot, a swim under the falls. Watch out if it is wet as the path can be slippery.

Fabulous place to swim, fresh water (tannins from the tea tress makes it brown but it is FRESH) about 100 m from the ocean at Lennox. BBQs and tables but get there early in peak times - it can get busy.

NORPA has great shows throughout the year. Google NORPA and see what is on when you are here. Most shows are in Lismore (20 minutes from Tooheys Mill Farm) but they also perform in local halls, railway stations and around the district.

The new Lismore Regional Gallery includes a gallery, space for artists, a cafe, and is set on a grassed quadrangle with the Northern Rivers Conservatorium of Music and the Richmond Tweed Library adjacent. Interesting art and a great place to eat or just stop for a bit in the heart of Lismore. Enter from Keen street next to the red brick Conservatorium building.

Ballina has shopping malls, hotels, clubs, all the stuff you are probably trying to get away from...but it's there if you need it. Ballina is not as busy / touristy as Byron Bay so easier to park, get into and out of.
