Neighbourhoods
This is by far one of my favorite neighborhoods & one where most of what you desire is within walking distance. Lots of good food and drinks all within a block. I would plan accordingly as it is quite busy aka lots of traffic. If you choose to drive here, park at one end of the block and just walk it. It's so worth it!

Brewery
Tai doesn't really like beer but we will ALWAYS go here to get her Wahoo White. Their beer selection is pretty good and the bartenders are knowledgeable. They have an outdoor area which becomes really popular during the warmer season. Do note that its near SD Airport and occasionally will hear airplanes descending.

Food scene
The first time we came here we swore we had to return a few more times to try out every option on the menu. They only serve chicken dishes which is fine by me. You can either order at the stand or head straight to the bar (first come first serve) their cocktails are delicious and pretty much can't go wrong with any choices listed. During the cooler months they even have heating lamps in their patio. I would still wear a hoodie as the breeze can be quite disrespectful .

Sightseeing
This beach has been voted one of the most beautiful beaches and I couldn't agree more. White sands that shimmers. This is the perfect destination for a lovely beach picnic or for a family trip. There is free parking and doesn't appear to be too difficult to find.

Pack accordingly!
Depending on when you come to visit, San Diego for the most part is a warm/humid city. If you're coming during the Spring/Summer/ Early fall months I would suggest bringing light clothing (tank tops/ shorts/ linen pants) & stay away from black anything (its my favorite color too).
Flip flops, sunscreen are also a must especially if you plan on going to the beach!
During the late fall/ winter months it does rain and get cold so please pack an umbrella/ waterproof jacket.

Electric bikes!
My favorite way to get around during the warmer months is to rent a Jump bike! I'm sure there are other electric bike/ scooter options but this is the brand I've used the most. You can book through the Uber app. When you go to book, it lists the bikes nearest to you. You can even "reserve" a bike that way its guaranteed to be there by the time you walk there. We biked to Whole Foods and back, despite it taking longer than taking the car, it gave us the chance to explore the neighborhood and not have to worry about traffic.
