Neighbourhoods

Brixton is a great place to explore. Pop Brixton has lots of food stalls and The Village has lots of cool restaurants, cafes, independent shops and local traders. Morleys is a wonderful department store where you can get anything and there are lots of other stores to cover every need. Coldharbour Lane and Acre Lane both have plenty of other places to explore away from the central area by the tube. The Ritzy is a wonderful local cinema and the Electric and O2 have a variety of gigs and events throughout the year. It’s great to get a Santander bike by Brixton tube (the free app tells you where all the other docking stations are) to explore all the nearby areas. Brockwell Park is a lovely open space 10 mins walk away with the famous lido open for outdoor swimming all year round. On the other side of the park is Herne Hill which has some super pubs and a small Sunday market. Dulwich village is 20 mins away by bus. The Dulwich Gallery is worth a visit as are the variety of restaurants and shops. Up and coming Peckham is 30 mins away by bus. In the other direction is Clapham Common and the areas of Clapham North, South and Junction boarding the park. Each area has a unique feel with lots to see and do. Northcote rd by Clapham Junction has a Saturday street market.
