Our absolute favorite place for healthy breakfast or a healthy treat or pick me up! MUST TRY!! If yoinked never had an açaí bowl, this is the place to try one. Our dearest friends created, hand built and opened the shop 2 years ago and it was an instant local hit. Sustainable coconut utensils and bowls! Recommendations: Sweet Nectar smoothie and ANY açaí bowl combination (go green!) I get their ice cream for our son as well as pups all the time as they are banana based and no sugar added! Perfect healthy treat for the kids!

Waterfront at the end of Hatteras island on the Marina. We don't typically recommend their food as they do change chefs very often and it's been inconsistent in our opinion HOWEVER their bar is very nice and they have a fantastic view of the sunsets on the sound.

I recommend this place as a bit of history mixed with some nature hikes. It’s small but a very nice stroll if you go early in the season before crowds come in. If you’re lucky enough to be here before the season starts, it’s a perfect quiet stroll through the park with some historic landmarks and informational posts scattered throughout.
We have not personally been to the lost colony play, but have heard it’s fun for kids and families.

The wild horse beaches are always a fan favorite! I recommend renting a Jeep and exploring on your own vs a tour. Go to the beach, then drive about 2 miles then start exploring the beach and back roads over the dunes and you’ll spots lots of horses! Please stay at least 50ft from the horses as it is dangerous to their health to feed or allow them to get close to humans...they are wild horses with a different diet than domestic horses, feeding them or getting too close will cause park service to have to remove them from the wild! Please please please respect this and these beautiful animals...we are one of the few places left with wild mustangs, we’d like to keep it that way.

Their children's water park area is great! My 3 year old has an absolute blast here. If you have smaller children I recommend going from 3-6pm for the discount rate as well as getting out the peak summer sun.

We do not have many ubers or lifts in the area. Our transportation service is call Island Hopper. They are what we use if having a night out and do not want to drive ourselves.
