Amazing secluded walks with lake views, very peaceful. If you are keen walker, you could spend 4 hours walking here.
You can walk from our house (about 20 mins - through the 'locals entrance'. Head for Woodchester Valley View Retirement Village Inchbrook Court, Inchbrook Way, Inchbrook, Stroud GL5 5HY
There is a public right of way just before the retirement village - a lovely walk and you can ditch the car.
Take snacks/water bottles and expect to walk for a couple of hours.
Otherwise, go to the official national trust car park, Take a £1 coin for the car park! This entrance is a five minute car drive from our house. It's further to walk to the lake from this side, but still lovely and stunning.

A visit to Stroud Farmer's Market on Saturday morning will make you want to move to Stroud - community atmosphere, local produce, lovely cafes.

Real Italian Chefs, great service and amazing pasta. It's in the middle of town, so I'd recommend Egypt Mill for a drink first as it has a lovely atmosphere and then walking over to Amalfi for food. Or the other way around!
