Great collection of precolumbian culture housed in a beautiful old house with magnificent gardens. The excellent restaurant is a perfect compliment. It serves high quality classic peruvian cuisine with impecable service. You can shop for souvenirs and the finest alpaca knits at the Kuna store.

Neighborhoods

As of January of 2020, I counted 8 cafes in a single block, besides other restaurants. To name a few: El Pan de la Chola, Barra Artesanal, Cafe Gourmet, Delicass, Havana, BCP-Pucu Pucu Cafe, Epicerie Dasso, Roosevelt, Cosme. All offer great quality food and atmosphere, whether you want breakfast, anytime break or a late dessert.

Hip neighborhood with boutiques of all kinds along with hot restaurants a couple of blocks from the sea. You can stroll or bike bordering the picturesque coastline and go all the way to Barranco and Chorrillos. Authentic restaurants and coffee shops with exquisite baked and artisanal food. It’s an up and coming neighborhood and worth the visit for foodies.

Bohemian hip neighborhood by the coast. This used to be summer resort for families from old Lima. The beautiful architecture reflects its use. High ceilings and open spaces with cross ventilation reflect its seasonal purpose. Today, the restored mansions house museums, restaurants, hotels and stores of unique characters. There is a vibrant nightlife. The main plaza is full of life on weekends with fairs attended by locals and visitors. I highly recommend Hotel B! Superb food, hip hotel. Another wonderful restaurant is called “7”. Shopping, Cuatro en un Baúl in Cajamarca Street and El Closet de mi Hermana. Modern, hip, bohemian vibes, cool things! Dédalo es another gallery with lots a original/high quality pieces and tea shop in back. Located in Saenz Pena. Other unique and great stores are: Cuatro en un Baul en Calle Cajamarca Puna en Calle Colina 128 Gambino, freshly made pastas, coffees, wines, Jiron Colina 105
