Great place to take the family to see how the fish are grown to stock many of the northern New Mexico lakes and rivers. There is a youth/ 65+ pond to fish and some great fly fishing along the Red River just downriver from the hatchery.

Eagle Rock Lake is located on NM-38 between Questa and Red River on the Carson National Forest. It is stocked with trout from the Red River Fish Hatchery located near by. There has been a lot of effort to clear the over growth along the river to make it more fishable. WALKABLE: You will find a well maintained path around the lake and a vault toilet maintained by the National Forest Service.

Don't let the front of the building keep you from coming in. This bar has a fun vibe and has pool tables, drinks, and food. I would recommend calling ahead if you plan to eat. Sometimes their cook has too much fun on their hike that day and doesn't make it back for their shift.
