Le Guide ai Quartieri

In this small descriptions you can find just a glimpse of what you can expect to find living a few days in these locations. My description highlights uniqueness starting from geographies, historical remarks and business and trades happening there.
Porta Nuova is a district in the hearth of Milan which features the most diverse settings of this city and for this reason I rank it as the most interesting one. As I write it is still undergoing an architecturial transformation in what is called New Porta Nuova area with the construction by archistars of Unipol building and the Unicredit Pavilon beside the Piazza Gae Aulenti. Porta Nuova neighbours Via Moscova, the Brera and Garibaldi districts and the more business areas of Turati and Repubblica. It is at easy reach from the Metro (Turati) and has access from via Manin to the most beautiful park (Giardini di via Palestro). Due to its strategic location it hosts some of the best restaurants and bars. You can breath diversity and energy in every street spanning from historic craft shops to showrooms and cool bars. As an example Starbucks decided to open in this district its second shop in the city (the first one being the Roastery in Piazza Cordusio).
