Shops to see include an antique shop, outdoor shops, and gift shops. There is even an outdoor clothing store where the garments are made onsite.
Leadville is about a 20 minute drive and is certainly worth spending some time seeing all the historic sights and visit the historical museums. Walk the main street, Harrison Avenue and eat at the Treeline Kitchen or Tennessee Pass Cafe.

Scenic stroll
From our cabin, follow County road 24 over the mountain to Hwy. 82 and turn right toward Aspen. Twin Lakes is the tiny village boasting amazing views of both the lakes and mountain peaks surrounding it. Visit the general store, art gallery and visitors center or take a short hike along the lake. A must stop for lunch is Punky's food truck or a sit-down meal at the Twin Lakes Inn. Don't forget to take a boat ride to the Interlachen Resort, a ghost resort dating back to the 1800's.

Buena Vista is an upbeat little town along the Arkansas River, about a 25 minute drive from the cabin. Shops, restaurants and parks are located along the river. Our favorite restaurant is Eddyline Restaurant and Brewery. Views of the Collegiate Peaks are stunning.
