The main place for meeting, partying and drinking in downtown Katowice. Lots of both cheaper and fancier pubs and bars, with local snacks and tapas all around. Mariacka is the traditional place to go for a party or just a drink all week long. Can get pretty crowded during weekends though!

Modern, recently completed museum located underground, in an old mine. It is a complex of both old and new buildings with a sightseeing tower with a great view of the city. The museum itself displays both classic and modern art, as well as permanent exhibitions about Silesian art and naive art (characteristic to the region), history of scenography and many temporary exhibitions. It also boasts one of the best restaurants in the city.
