My favorite places in Trinidad
This is a great place to spend a little time. During the fall & winter; the theater puts on shows with local actors. In the summer, we have professional actors come to town. Every single show I've attended has been so much fun!

This gallery is all about the local art. I have a few of my paintings showing here. You must come in to see some of the beautiful things our talented artists have created. All of the art is really reasonably priced, too. Santa Fe quality at Trinidad prices.

Now this is fun! Trinidad is quickly becoming an art car mecca. Second only to Houston, TX, Trinidad welcomes people from all over the country to partake in the Art Car Parade! This parade is usually the first weekend in September.

The mild climate and large lake are ideal for water sports. Anglers catch rainbow and brown trout, largemouth bass, channel catfish, walleye, crappie and bluegill. All types of boaters appreciate the open waters and modern services.
Miles of trails winding through ancient and interesting local history, and spectacular scenery provide visitors and nature enthusiasts with great outdoor exploration opportunities.
Trinidad Lake is a wonderful place to escape the crowds and establish a basecamp from which to explore the great outdoors plus visit interesting local attractions. Area attractions like the former mining town of Trinidad with its colorful history make great side trips.

Carole is a dear friend. She also has art in the Smithsonian Institute. She is a life-long amazing artist. She doesn't travel much for art shows anymore, so you can see her wonderful works of art in the Gallery Row at 149 E. Main Street.

Restaurants
Hubs and I don't go out very much, but when we do we enjoy these places.
Moose's Social Club & Martini Bar is a great place to eat with a fun, creative menu and a friendly atmosphere. It's 1 block east on Main Street from this duplex. It's in an historic building with the original bar.

This place is 3 blocks east on West Main Street. It is so much fun! Every show I've seen there has been wonderful. In the summer months, the theater employs a traveling troupe of professional actors. The rest of the year the theater uses local talent for wonderful, really well done plays.
SCRT has been closed due to COVID so far in 2020. We are hoping that it will open again before much longer.

If you like fine food served by singing waiters, this is the place to go. They have a wide variety of menu items to choose from. And the waiters sing everything from Elvis tunes to opera. They have an extensive wine list, too.

On Fridays, they have open mike night. Themes vary from poetry to comedy, to music. They have fun, creative food & drinks there, too.

This is where all of the locals go. The place is not fancy at all. But if you want a good, filling breakfast, this is the place. They're open every day except Mondays. Here you have diner food as well as some delicious New Mexican food. The red & green chili is delicious. The pancakes are wonderful.
