What we have learnt
Ideas that we have picked up whilst on holiday in Woolacombe for many year
You can hire a beach hut (£72 for 4 days ish). We use the beach hut as a base for the day it provides shelter from the sun, great for younger children. Some where to get of the sun, have lunch and still remain on the beach front, you can also keep stuff in them (buckets, spades, the long list of stuff children like to bring along)instead of taking back to the cottage each night.

Parking at the beach there is all day parking, or 2 hour stays park.
There is a small stream that flows down the beach the left hand side is for doggies, and the right is a dog free area.
There are life guards present on the beach.
Toilets are located at the far end of the car park

The Red Barn is right next to the beach, ideal place to go after a long day spent at the beach, prices are reasonable, service is also good.

This is our favorite place to get ice cream from, loads of flavors to choose from. Plus they also sell hot drink, cakes and hot food snacks. Our children love the ice cream here as they also have sprinkles.

This Freehouse is located on Mullacott Island great food great staff and a great establishment, prices seem reasonable and within 4 minutes drive from the cottage.

Beaches

This beach is five minute drive from the cottage. Out the car park turn left and follow the road all the way down.
Lots of car parks offering all day parking. Clean toilets to use, you can also hire wet suits and surf boards.

This beach is a beach tucked away between the rocks. Its about 400 meters north of the main beach. Great for the rock pools.
There is a small shop/cafe based on the beach.
However there is no life guard.
