13 miles of trails around the reservoir - that’s half marathon! Start from the Hopper Hut or park at the visitors’ centre and enjoy a hot drink and a snack before or after your walk. There is also a possibility to hire bicycles at the visitors’ centre. Get up early and enjoy the peace and quiet of the reservoir - how many birds can you identify?

The village is well serviced, with a grocery store (incl post office and a cash machine), a chemist, a greengrocer, a dry cleaner, a cafe, a florist and even a gallery. There is a doctor’s surgery, a couple of garages, a bakery, a fishmonger (Saturday mornings) and of course a church. All about a mile and a half from the Hopper Hut.
If you decide to try out a new recipe and don’t want to buy your ingredients in bulk visit the zero waste shop Buy The Weigh in the high street!
