Drinks & Nightlife
Italian restaurant by day, great martini bar by night. The espresso martinis are to die for, and they will happily make them 6-8 at the time.
You will either love this place and its people, or not lol.

Sightseeing
This is a 700 foot fishing pier jutting straight out of a beautiful string of beaches. There are parks, a golf course, and two restaurants (Fin's and Sharky's) right there as well.
The pier is open 24/7 and you do NOT need a fishing license to fish from the pier. You DO need a license to fish from the beach. There is currently no charge to access the pier.

This is a small island in the intercoastal waterway of Venice/Nokomis. It is easily reachable by boat or kayak and is a fun place to hang out.
There are even full moon kayak trips and oyster roasts that have been known to occur. It is a very cool experience.

Amazing natural Florida at its finest. Boat tours, canoes rentals and a tram tour. Places to picnic and bike ride. Be sure to check of the canopy walk! Climb the tower to see over the top of the trees.

Arts & Culture
This is a 30-45 minute drive from Venice, but well worth the journey. It is a campus of museums and gardens as well as many other awesome things. It is too much to put into words.
Plan to spend the day exploring the grounds and museums. It is a beautiful and interesting place!

This is a brand new high class mall that is surrounded by a TON of other shops and outlets. This place is so big that they had to build a huge crazy interstate exit system just to handle the traffic here.
You can totally spend the day seeing all the shops here and eating a ton of great food. This is a shopper's delight.

You can totally spend the day seeing all the shops here and eating a ton of great food. This is a shopper's delight.

This is an indoor farm market that has a ton of produce at competitive prices and the best deli meat and cheese in town. Their bakery is incredible and their seafood is often good as well.
It is a fun place to shop and the prices are good but it is SUPER BUSY. The traffic and parking are a little crazy here.
