Great spot on sunny days, take your bike out and enjoy the free ferry ride to the NDSM, a former ship warf. This cafe is good spot the have lunch, diner or just a coffee or beer. There are also other nice cafes around here and once a month a very big flea market in the weekend. You can take the ferry for Westerdoksdijk or from the back of Central Station it's free and you can take your bike on it.

Great place for lunch, dinner or just a coffee or beer. Located along a canal with great terrace on a landing on the canal as well. The interior of the cafe is equally nice.

For a number of reasons they will have difficultly finding work on the regular job market, so here they are given a (second) chance. Go here for a beer!

Really authentic place to try Dutch liquors. You can also take a tour through their distillery. The tasting room closes at 19 o' clock, so go there on time, also because it is pretty difficult to find since it is located in a tiny alleyway next to the Krasnapolski Hotel and the tasting room is also tiny and can get very crowded. The earlier the better.

And it's a 5 minute walk from the house. Not sure if you can find a spot (you are not the only one who knows about this).
